150 Marines return to Hawaii from Afghanistan
About 150 Marines in a Hawaii-based helicopter squadron are due to return to the islands from Afghanistan this week.
The Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363 of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing is due to return on Monday.
They spent seven months in Afghanistan’s Helmand province providing air support to the I Marine Expeditionary Force.
They’re being replaced in Afghanistan by Heavy Helicopter Squadron 362, which is also based in Hawaii.
