Honolulu police arrested a 51-year-old Waianae man who allegedly hit his 42-year-old live-in girlfriend with a metal pole and dumbbell Saturday afternoon.
Police said the woman reported the attack at the hospital where she was treated and released for her injuries.
She told officers the couple had been arguing at about 2:30 p.m. when her boyfriend hit her.
The suspect was located and arrested without incident on Farrington Highway near Pohakuni Avenue for assault, police said.
