Toddler’s head injuries are called ‘suspicious’

Honolulu police have opened a second-degree assault investigation after a 23-month-old boy was taken to an area hospital with substantial head injuries.

The boy was transported to the hospital via ambulance around 7 p.m. Saturday with injuries “that appear suspicious,” police said. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.

No arrests have yet been made.
