“Battleship” filming will close part of Nimitz Highway next week

Film crews from the movie "Battleship" will close the Koko Head-bound right and left lanes of Nimitz Highway between Valkenburgh and Elliott streets next week, state transportation officials said.

The lanes will be closed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

The center lane will remain open, however.

The Department of Transportation will also be suggesting alternate routes for motorists.
