Incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Charles Djou doubled the amount of funds raised by Democratic rival Colleen Hanabusa, although the state Senate president has more cash on hand for the closing weeks of the race.

Djou raised $226,000 in the pre-general election reporting period from Oct. 1 to 13, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission. The most recent influx pushes his overall fundraising for the campaign to $2.32 million.

Hanabusa raised $112,000 during the same pre-general period, and has raised $2.14 million for the campaign.

She entered the second half of October with $440,000 in cash on hand, compared with $382,000 for Djou.
