Hilo man charged with burglary of Waiakea Uka home

    Hawaii County police released a mugshot of burlary suspect Seth Stellar. Stellar was charged yesterday with first degree burglary.

Big Island prosecutors charged a 27-year-old Hilo man with the burglary of a Waiakea Uka home.

Seth Stellar turned himself into detectives without incident Monday and was charged later that afternoon with first degree burglary, police said.

Stellar is accused of breaking into a 69-year-old woman’s home early in the morning of Oct. 18. The woman reported that she awoke to find a man in her home. She confronted the suspect, who fled on foot.

Stellar was being held at the Hilo Police Station cellblock on $25,000 bail and was scheduled to make his initial court appearance this afternoon in Hilo.
