Police said an alleged check forger made the mistake of returning to the same bank to cash fake checks yesterday afternoon.
The Waianae man cashed seven forged checks on Oct. 27, police said. He returned to the same bank yesterday to cash $3,500 in allegedly fake checks. Police said a teller recognized him and called authorities.
Police originally described the suspect as a woman, but arrest records show the suspect is a man.
He remained in custody today on 14 counts of forgery and two counts of theft.
