A 26-year-old man who allegedly threatened an older woman in Waianae Saturday was arrested after officers found him with a stolen handgun, police said.

The 54-year-old woman told officers that a man threatened her and drove away before police arrived about 8:40 a.m.

Officers found the man in a vehicle in a Waianae parking lot and saw a gun in plain view inside, police said.

While arresting the man, officers learned that the gun had been reported stolen and that the man was wanted on an extradition warrant.

He was booked on suspicion of three weapons offenses, theft, terroristic threatening, driving without a license and the warrant.
