Police identified the 17-year-old driver who died in a fatal car crash in Kauai on Sunday as Corbin Reynolds.
At about 1 a.m., Reynolds, of Kekaha, was driving westbound in a To•yota pickup truck on Kaumualii Highway near Manu Road when he crossed the center line and struck a guardrail. Police said he was thrown from the truck and died at the scene.
His 17-year-old passenger was transported to Kauai Veterans Memo•rial Hospital in serious condition. He has since been discharged.
