Matsuri parade will close Kalakaua Avenue this afternoon

The 32nd annual Pan-Pacific Matsuri Waikiki Parade will close Kalakaua Ave. from Saratoga Road to Kapiolani Park at about 5 p.m. today.

The parade is expected to have 2,000 marchers, 19 vehicles, three floats and four bands.

If you go, bring an umbrella. The National Weather Service says there’s a 50 percent chance of scattered showers this afternoon in Waikiki.
