LAS VEGAS >> Police say they made nine felony drug arrests on the second night of a major electronic music festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, down from 12 such arrests the first night.

The Las Vegas Sun reports 12 participants at the Electric Daisy Carnival were taken to local hospitals over a 12-hour period ending at 6 a.m. Sunday, up from five the first night.

And police say 21 people were ejected from the event, compared with 31 ejections the first night.

The three-day event, which features outdoor music and dancing aimed at rave-goers, is expected to draw a total of nearly 250,000 people by the time it ends early Monday.

It drew between 82,000 and 87,000 people on its second night, up from about 75,000 the first night.
