Second suspect sought in Waikiki robbery

Honolulu police arrested a 23-year-old homeless man and are looking for a second suspect in a robbery in Waikiki.

Police said the suspect who is still at large assaulted a 36-year-old man at 3 a.m. Monday on a Waikiki sidestreet. The 23-year-old man told the second suspect to take the man’s property and both men fled, according to police.

Police arrested the homeless man on Waikolu Way near the King’s Village shopping center at 3:20 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree robbery.

The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.
