LAS VEGAS >> Caesars Palace is welcoming a version of one of America’s longest-running restaurants to the Las Vegas Strip.

The resort-casino says the Old Homestead Steakhouse is setting up the 16,000-square-foot restaurant before the end of 2011.

The original steakhouse opened in 1868 in New York City. Caesar’s version will seat 250 people and will be designed to reflect the restaurant’s East Coast history.

Old Homestead in Las Vegas will replace Nero’s restaurant, which located near the Colosseum theater and the Nobu Restaurant and Lounge that’s scheduled to open in 2012.
