IRVING, Texas >> The Dallas Cowboys signed former University of Hawaii free agent Mana Silva to replace injured safety Barry Church.

The Cowboys put Church, who injured his shoulder, and running back DeMarco Murray, who broke his right ankle, on a season-ending injured reserve.

They signed Silva, who had been on practice squads in Baltimore and Buffalo, to replace Church. Veteran Sammy Morris will replace Murray.

Murray, a rookie who had a franchise-record 253-yard game in October, finishes the year with 897 yards and two touchdowns.

Morris was drafted the fifth round by Buffalo in 2000 out of Texas Tech. He has 2,955 career yards and 26 touchdowns over three NFL stops.

The Cowboys also signed cornerback C.J. Wilson to the practice squad.
