Hawaii quarterback Cayman Shutter has been suspended "indefinitely" and "immediate" in the aftermath of his recent arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.
Head coach Norm Chow said during a news briefing before today’s spring practice that Shutter is a "good young man" who made a bad decision.
During his suspension, Shutter is not allowed to participate in any team activities, including practicing and weight training.
Chow indicated that the suspensiont could last anywhere from a day through the 2012 season.
The suspension is based on Shutter violating team rules.
Further actions might be taken following the resolution of this case.
