New University of Hawaii women’s basketball coach Laura Beeman will receive a $1,000 bonus for each mainland road victory under terms of her recently executed contract, the school said.
Beeman was named to succeed Dana Takahara-Dias March 23rd.
Beeman’s contract is said to be worth between $130,000-$140,000 annually but has an extensive list of bonus possibilities including the road victory clause her predecessor did not have.
The Rainbow Wahine, who went 11-19 for the 2011-’12 season, were 4-5 in mainland road games.
