Kerry Rupp, director of operations for the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team this past season, will leave to join the University of Montana as an assistant coach, UH announced today.

Rupp came to UH last year after being replaced as head coach at Louisiana Tech. He coached the Bulldogs for four seasons.

"I’m excited for Kerry and grateful for the time he spent here in Hawaii," UH coach Gib Arnold said in a press release. "He’s an outstanding coach and good friend. I’m glad he will be back on the floor coaching and recruiting as that’s what he was born to do."
