Jarrett Arakawa was roughed up for six runs on 10 hits in four innings as Sacramento State blasted Hawaii 10-3 to take a 2-0 series lead on Saturday at John Smith Field in Sacramento, Calif.
Arakawa (6-5) allowed six earned runs for the second time in his last three starts for the Rainbows (28-20, 8-6 Western Athletic Conference), who are now 1-9 in their last 10 games at Sacramento State (28-23, 10-7).
Max Duval finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Pi’ikea Kitamura and Breland Almadova had two hits apiece for UH.
Rhys Hoskins homered and scored three runs and Tanner Mendonca (6-7) allowed three runs on eight hits over six innings to earn the win for the Hornets.
