Bryson Quackenbush scored a game-high 18 points as Roosevelt defeated Kalani 53-47 in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Red East boys basketball game Monday.
Quackenbush and Isaiah Visoria went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch to help the Rough Riders (5-6) hold off the Falcons and clinch the sixth and final berth in the OIA tournament.
“We just wanted to get in (the tournament),” Roosevelt coach Steve Hathaway said. “When we show up to play, we can be a dangerous six seed. Hopefully we’re starting to peak at the right time.”
