Two elderly women, on opposite sides of the island, got into trouble this morning when they apparently lost control of the cars they were driving and crashed into two separate houses.

The first traffic accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. in Manoa. A woman, 70, drove into a home on Puhala Rise.

Her condition was listed as stable.

At 11 a.m. in Kaneohe, an elderly woman in her 80s also apparently lost control of her car and crashed into a house on Haiku Plantation Drive. There was no one else in the car.

She was taken by ambulance to a hospital serious condition.
