The Coast Guard and the Honolulu Fire Department searched tonight for a male missing diver in the Yokohama Bay area.
A Coast Guard spokesman said the missing person was free diving in the area. The Coast Guard began its search 6 p.m., launching a helicopter and two small boats.
The Fire Department assisted in the search from 6:15 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, and will resume its search at first light Wednesday.
The Fire Department used its helicopter — Air 1, a rescue company and another company to search by air and water near shore and along the coastline.
