Honolulu liquor administrator resigns from practicing law

Honolulu Liquor Commission Administrator Greg I. Nishioka has resigned from practicing law and agreed to repay misappropriated money to clients, according to the state Disciplinary Board of the Hawaii Supreme Court.

It is unknown whether the resignation will have any effect on Nishioka’s job as administrator.

Before taking the job in 2011, Nishioka was an attorney at Nishioka and Fujioka. Nishioka’s resignation takes effect March 13.
