UH’s Li’ili’i named Big West Player of the Week

University of Hawaii sophomore Leisha Li’ili’i was named the Big West Softball Field Player of the Week today.

The Castle graduate hit .750 (6-for-8) with two home runs and nine runs batted in during last week’s Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament.

Li’ili’i hit a three-run homer in UH’s 7-0 win over Portland State last Friday. She then drove in six runs in a doubleheader sweep of Portland State and East Carolina on Saturday.

Li’ili’i moved into the team lead with 16 RBIs and raised her batting average to .327.

UH (16-5) faces Syracuse tonight and East Carolina on Tuesday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
