Man charged with robbery of Salt Lake store


Police charged a 29-year-old man today with robbing a retail store in Salt Lake on Feb. 9.

Police said the man was stopped by a security personnel for shoplifting, and he allegedly tried to assault the security guard.

The two struggled and the suspect fled with the merchandise.

Police arrested Michael Souza-Davis, who has no local address, at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where he was in custody, and he was charged with second-degree robbery.

His bail was set at $50,000.
