Water and gas services were disrupted Thursday morning in McCully when a portion of Pumehana Road collapsed.

The break in the 8-inch water main occurred at 6:45 a.m. occurred at 732 Pumehana St. The water break caused a portion of Pumehana street to collapse, damaging the gas line.

The Board of Water Supply said about 8 service locations were left without water.

At least three homes and two apartment buildings were evacuated, Hawaii Gas said.

Hawaii Gas said it didn’t know how many homes were without service.

Pumehana street between Fern and Lime streets were closed for repairs. A water spigot has been attached to a fire hydrant at Lime and Pumehana streets.
