Salt Lake man arrested for allegedly assaulting wife for second time


Police arrested a 27-year-old Salt Lake man after he allegedly violated a 24-hour restraining order and assaulting his wife for the second time in a week.

The suspect was initially arrested Thursday for abusing his wife and was issued a warning requiring him to stay away from his wife for at least 24 hours.

According to the police, the man returned home after being released on bail and again assaulted his wife.

The suspect turned himself in to police Monday afternoon and was arrested on suspicion on second-degree assault and violating a 24-hour warning.
