Hawaii island man charged with burglary in Puna house break-in
Hawaii County authorities charged a 20-year-old Pahoa man Monday for allegedly burglarizing a home in Puna last year.
Isaiah Ekau was charged with first-degee burglary and second-degree theft.
Police said the suspect allegedly broke into a 61-year-old Pahoa man’s home Sept. 9 and stole several items while he was out.
Ekau’s bail was set at $7,000.
