Crews re-painted and adjusted signals on Sunday night to convert the intersection into an “All Pedestrian Phase” intersection, commonly referred to as the “Barnes Dance” after Henry A. Barnes to whom the concept has been attributed.
Mayor Kirk Caldwell kicks off a monthlong series of town hall meetings across Oahu with a gathering at the cafeteria of Highlands Intermediate School in Pearl City Thursday evening.
The mayor and Cabinet members will update the communities on his priorities including the fixing of city roads, restoring TheBus service, investing in sewer improvements, beautifying parks, trying to make sure the rail transit line gets done properly and addressing homelessness.
All meetings will run 6:30-8 p.m.
