The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 50-year-old woman, who was killed Tuesday when the moped she was driving collided with a pickup truck in Barbers Point, as a visitor from California.

Dana Warner, of San Pablo, Calif., died of multiple blunt force injuries resulting from a collision with a truck on Franklin Roosevelt Avenue near Kasaan Bay Street, the Medical Examiner’s Office reported. The accident occurred at 9:43 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said the moped crossed the center line on Roosevelt Avenue about 114 feet west of Kasaan Bay Street, colliding with a truck driven by a 55-year-old man. The victim was not wearing a helmet. Speed and alcohol were not contributing factors.

This was Oahu’s 27th traffic death, compared with 21 a year ago.
