Prosecutors Friday charged a 29-year-old homeless man who police said broke into a number of cars in Kalihi on the morning of March 24.

Police said Donald Montero Jr. was arrested after an investigation of several car break-ins and theft of items.

Police arrested and charged Montero, but later discovered other victims who wanted to pursue charges.

Police arrested Montero at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where he was already being held, and he was charged with four counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and unauthorized possession of confidential and personal information.

His bail was set at $20,000.
