Work furlough escapee is arrested in downtown Honolulu

Police arrested a 42-year-old inmate Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree escape.

Police said the inmate failed to return from the Laumaka work furlough program.

The alleged escape occurred May 3. Moronai Ufiufi was arrested 2:16 p.m. Tuesday in downtown Honolulu.
