The Honolulu Police Department is advising motorists of road closures tonight in the Waikiki area due to the First Hawaiian Bank Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Hundreds of runners and walkers are expected to attend the event in support of Special Olympics Hawaii.

The run starts at 7:15 p.m. with a 3.2 mile run from Ft. DeRussy, onto Kalia Road; a right onto Ala Moana Boulevard; another right onto Kalakaua Avenue; a left onto Kapahulu Avenue; another left onto Old Waialae Avenue; and a right into the UH Manoa lower campus to cross the finish line at the Les Murakami stadium.

Walkers will begin around 7:30 p.m. from the Kapahulu First Hawaiian Bank branch and walk a mile to the finish line.

Police said roads will progressively reopen once the participants have passed.
