Employees of Kaiser Permanente Hawaii covered by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, or ILWU, have ratified a new three-year contract, according to Kaiser.

Details of the contract were not disclosed, but the contract provides wage increases and changes to benefit plans and reflects “give and take by both sides,” said spokeswoman Laura Lott, in a statement.

The statement did not say how many workers are covered by the contract.

“Kaiser Permanente is following a national and local trend moving toward a benefit cost structure that provides a secure retirement for our employee while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organization,” she said.
