Police said a 49-year-old Kapolei man confessed to striking a 27-year-old man with a dangerous instrument Thursday morning in the McCully area before he was released pending further investigation on Friday.
Police said the alleged assault happened at 7:46 a.m. Thursday. The victim suffered “substantial bodily injury,” police said. But they did not elaborate.
