An Oahu grand jury today indicted an Ewa Beach man on three counts of promoting prostitution in the first degree.

Honolulu Police Department officers arrested Isaiah Black, 28, on June 19 following an investigation pertaining to a May 28 sting operation at the White Sands Hotel in Waikiki.

If convicted, Black faces up to 20 years of jail time for each offense and will have to add his name to the state’s sex offender registry. He also faces a fine of up to $50,000 for each count.

Promotion of prostitution in the first degree alleges that a person advances prostitution by forcing, threatening or intimidating a person into engaging in prostitution, or profits by such conduct.

Bail was set at $100,000 for Black.
