Labor union UNITE HERE and Hyatt Hotels Corp. have announced a national agreement resolving longstanding disputes.

Pending ratification, the agreement covers Hyatt employees represented by UNITE HERE in Honolulu, as well as San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago.

The proposed contracts will provide retroactive wage increases and maintain health care and pension benefits and will be valid through 2018.

A key contract provision will enable employees at several Hyatt hotels to vote on whether they want to be represented by UNITE HERE, which represents some 300,000 hospitality industry workers in the U.S. and Canada.

Upon ratification, the union will end its global boycott of Hyatt.
