Kauai police are investigating a German shepherd’s attack last week on a cocker spaniel that had to be euthanized due to the injuries.
A Kauai County news release Monday said the cocker spaniel’s owner reported that the shepherd, a neighbor’s dog, entered the Moloaa home about 4 p.m. July 2 and attacked the spaniel, named Coco Chanel.
Coco’s owner picked her dog up to protect her, but Coco bit her owner on the face, the news release said. After the attack, Coco was euthanized, and her owner was taken to Wilcox Hospital for treatment.
