Shoplifting suspect who said he had gun is arrested

A suspected shoplifter who told store workers that he had a gun is now behind bars.

Police said the suspect, a 42-year-old man, tried to steal items from a store in Pearl City on July 3. He told store workers that he had a firearm and fled the scene.

Police said today that officers located and arrested the man Wednesday.
