Burglary suspect arrested near Ala Moana


A 50-year-old homeless man was arrested late Saturday night for allegedly burglarizing a store in the Honolulu area, police said.

Police were called to the scene just before 11 p.m. and arrived to find a man inside the establishment and the cash register tampered with, according to police records.

Officers located the man about five minutes later on Kapiolani Boulevard near the Ala Moana Shopping Center and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
