Police are investigating the alleged early morning robbery of a 54-year-old taxi driver.
According to police, the victim took an unknown man to his requested Honolulu destination but was assaulted with a dangerous instrument when he tried to collect his fare.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. today.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not disclosed.
Police did not release a description of the assailant.
