A construction truck hit power lines on Hele Street, damaging three utility poles and causing a power outage for about 2,600 customers in Enchanted Lake Wednesday afternoon, a Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman said.
Workers restored power to about 900 customers by 5 p.m., after the 2:15 p.m. accident, said HECO spokesman Darren Pai.
About 30 customers ha no power until repairs to the three damaged poles were completed, Pai said.
All customers were restored shortly after 10pm. Hawaiian Electric thanked its customers for their patience and understanding.
