Police arrested a 22-year-old Hawaii Kai man early this morning for allegedly riding a stolen moped, police said.

Police said a patrol officer stopped the suspect around 12:50 a.m. in Hawaii Kai because the moped had a defective light.

The officer discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen on Jan. 3, and arrested the man on suspicion of operating a stolen vehicle.
