The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the construction worker who died after a seven-story fall as Louis Martin, 39, of Wahiawa.

Martin was part of a crew working at the Embassy Apartments, at 802 Prospect St., on repairs to the seven-story building.

The incident occurred at about 10 a.m.

Martin was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, Emergency Medical Services said.

It was the second fall resulting in serious injury or death this week.

Early Sunday morning a 22-year-old man fell down a 30- to 40-foot cliff near the Hale Aloha dorms at University of Hawaii-Manoa, officials said.

Paramedics responded to dorm at about 1:30 a.m. and took the victim to the hospital in serious condition.
