Prosecutors charged a 45-year-old Kalihi man Thursday for allegedly shattering a 43-year-old man’s windshield with a baseball bat.

Leighton Kumai was charged with first-degree criminal property damage Thursday. His bail was set at $30,000.

Police said Kumai believed the man had stolen tools from his nephew’s truck. He allegedly followed the man and blocked him in traffic.
