Kalihi man driving stolen moped arrested in Waikiki

Police arrested a 21-year-old suspected moped thief in Waikiki early Saturday morning who also was driving without a license, according to police records.

When police stopped the Kalihi man for a traffic violation around 2:20 a.m. near Seaside Avenue and Ala Wai Boulevard, checks of the moped revealed that it was stolen, police said.

Police also discovered the man did not have a driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and driving without a license.
