Moped crash sends man to hospital in critical condition

A 25-year-old man suffered critical injuries in a moped crash in Kailua just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital in critical condition after the moped he was on hit a pole at Oneawa and Ulupaina streets, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

Police closed Oneawa Street between Punaa and Ulupaina streets while they investigated the crash.
