Maui police identified the Washington state vistor killed in a moped crash Saturday as 36-year-old Rama Fire.

Fire died at about 10:38 p.m. Saturday after his moped crossed the center line on Kokomo Road in Haiku and collided with a 2003 Audi sedan.

The driver of the Audi, a 43-year-old Haiku woman, and her passengers, a 20-year-old Haiku man and a 17-year-old Makawao girl, were not injured.

Police said Fire was wearing a helmet and the occupants in the Audi were wearing seat belts.

Police were still investigating whether speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
