A 61-year-old Waikiki man was arrested after he allegedly pushed a police officer who was investigating an assault complaint.

Police said the incident occurred at 1:30 p.m. Thursday near the suspect’s Seaside Avenue condominium.

The suspect was arguing with a 51-year-old man, police said, when the argument escalated and the victim was allegedly threatened with a knife.

During the arrest the suspect allegedly pushed a police officer.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, harassment, resisting arrest and first-degree terroristic threatening
