Traffic backs up in the Waianae direction on the H-1 freeway near the Kunia on-ramp as crews work on broken utility lines.
The Kunia on-ramp to H-1 freeway is closed in the Waianae-bound direction because of broken utility lines, Honolulu police said.
Police reported the closure at about 5:25 a.m.
It’s not clear yet how long the closure will last.
A Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman said a troubleshooter is on scene to assess repairs to the lines.
