Kauai woman with injured knee airlifted from Kalalau Trail
A 35-year-old Wailua woman injured her knee Wednesday night while hiking on the Kalalau Trail.
Kauai County rescue personnel responded to the scene at about 5:10 p.m. and airlifted the injured hiker to Waimea Canyon Park. Paramedics then transported her to Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital with assistance from Engine 7.
The woman was treated and released from the hospital Wednesday.
